Let's get ALL FIRED UP!

Hi! My name is Abbey, and I’m 10 years old. I’m going into 5th grade, and I would love the chance to be part of the All Fired Up backyard cookout competition at Capitol Market!

I play basketball and soccer, and I also love to cook—especially with my dad and my Aunt Lil. Cooking is one of my favorite ways to be creative and spend time with the people I love. Whether we’re grilling out or baking something sweet, I always jump in to help.

Capitol Market is one of my favorite places in Charleston. I love walking around and smelling all the amazing foods, picking out snacks, getting sushi from Sushi Garden, and of course, grabbing a hot chocolate from Mea Cuppa! There’s something fun around every corner.

But the best part of Capitol Market is how it brings the community together—especially for kids like me. I’ve loved all the chances the Market gives kids to learn, try new things, and get involved. That’s why I would be so excited (and honored!) to be chosen for the All Fired Up competition. It would be a dream come true to cook in the Market’s backyard and represent the next generation of young food lovers!
