Classic Appalachian Dishes with a Modern Twist: Celebrating Tradition in New Flavors

Celebrate National Farmer’s Market Week with a true farm-to-table experience as Market Table returns after several years! Experience a four-course meal presented by Gritt’s Farm Chef Stevie Owens in the outdoor market, offering unique dishes sourced straight from the market’s bounty. This dinner is made possible by the West Virginia Farmers Market Association and the Veterans & Heroes to Agriculture program. While here, enjoy a private dining oasis and learn about offerings from the WV Farmers Market Association, like the poultry processing trailer, membership and more.


"Beans & Cornbread"
Pinto beans cooked with pork ribs, shoulder & bacon, collard greens, confit potatoes, pickled onions, pork rind & jalapeno cheddar cornbread


"BLT Salad"
A salad of Gritt's hydroponic lettuce, blistered cherry tomatoes & candied bacon with a creamy roasted red pepper dressing, and herbed garlic cheese baguette & jammy egg


"Baked Steak"
Red wine braised beef with a mushroom demi-glaze, white truffle oil infused parsnip puree & garlic green beans topped with crispy fried potatoes


"Peach Cobbler"
A layered dessert of cobbler, West Virginia peaches, white chocolate, lace cookie, peach jam & peach ice cream
