Tree Information & Decorating
Tree Size & Condition
Trees will be between 6 and 8 feet tall. Because trees are ordered in advance and delivered in bulk, specific heights or fullness cannot be guaranteed. Replacement requests cannot be accommodated.
Decorating Access
Decorating begins Saturday, November 21. Please do not begin decorating before this date. Check-in instructions and your specific tree location will be provided as the decorating period approaches.
Decorating Deadline
All trees must be completely decorated by Tuesday, November 24. Undecorated trees may be reassigned to waitlisted participants without refunds.
Signage
Each tree will receive basic signage displaying its tree number, business or organization name, and a QR code for voting. Any additional signage must be attached directly to the tree. Free-standing signs and easels are not permitted.
Tree Bases & Skirts
Trees will be placed in wooden bases. If using a tree skirt, it must be securely stapled to the top of the base and cannot hang over the sides. Please do not remove your tree from its base.
Securing Decorations
All ornaments, lights, and decorations must be securely attached using wire or zip ties. Standard ornament hooks are discouraged. Please remember that the trees will remain outdoors throughout the holiday season.
Ladders
Please bring your own ladder for decorating. A Holly Jolly Brawley team member may contact you if additional securing measures are needed after your tree has been decorated.
Lighting Requirements
Please use LED lights only to help minimize energy consumption.
Each participant must provide an outdoor-rated extension cord at least 15 feet long. Green or black cords are preferred. Please secure cords neatly to your tree as needed.
Areas will be available to test your lights before decorating. Please make sure all strands are working before installation.
Tree Care, Weather & Safety
Trees will be outdoors for the duration of the display. If your tree is damaged by weather, you may be contacted and asked to make repairs as quickly as possible. Trees that are not maintained may be reassigned or replaced if necessary.
While reasonable precautions will be taken, vandalism or accidental damage may occur. Holly Jolly Brawley is a community event supported by volunteers, and we appreciate your patience and understanding if an issue arises.
By participating, you acknowledge that Holly Jolly Brawley, its volunteers, partners, and participating entities are not responsible for damage to or loss of decorations or other items placed on your tree.
Decoration Removal
All decorations and lights must be removed by January 2.
Please designate someone from your team to ensure your tree is cleaned up by the deadline. Any items remaining after the cleanup period may be disposed of.
