Celebrate Halloween with a safe, family-friendly evening of trick-or-treating at Capitol Market! Our vendors and community partners will be handing out candy and treats in the outdoor market, creating a festive experience for children of all ages. Put on your favorite costume and enjoy an evening filled with Halloween fun.

TICKETS

Admission is FREE, but registration is required. There will be 200 tickets released on Sept. 2 for each time slot: 6:30-7:15 and 7:30-8:15. Tickets are only required for children who will be trick-or-treating. Parents and other accompanying adults do not need a ticket.

What to Expect

👻 Trick-or-Treating: Visit participating Capitol Market vendors and community partners for candy and treats.

🎭 Costumes Encouraged: Come dressed in your Halloween best!

🍷 For the Adults: Enjoy libations available for purchase from the Wine Shop and Soho's while the kids fill their candy bags.

🍔 Food & Entertainment: Grab dinner from Soho's after trick-or-treating.

WVSU Extension Service: Pumpkin Decorating Station

Stop by the West Virginia State University Extension Service table in the outdoor market for hands-on pumpkin fun! Kids can get creative with pumpkin carving, painting, and stickers to make their own Halloween masterpiece. While the kids craft, stop by to pick up local agricultural resources and learn about West Virginia agritourism opportunities.
